Last week I talked with Kelly McCartney at The Bluegrass Situation for an interview series they call Squared Roots, a conversation that looks at one specific influencer in an artist's work.
Over the last few months I've listened to a lot of Nick Drake and been blown away by him again and again. So I dug a little deeper and talked with her about his influence on my playing and writing. Below is the intro excerpt but the whole interview can be found here.
This weekend I'll be flying out to CA to attend the second annual Fretboard Summit, put on by the folks at Fretboard Journal. Thinking back on last year's summit, I wanted to share a couple video highlights...
I wanted to share with you a demo from one of the tracks off of Nothing We Say EP. The song, Noah, was written in Boston and first I recorded a demo of it in an attic in Roslindale, MA with my dear friend and fiddler, Duncan Wickel.
This weekend I'll be back up in New England playing a few quartet shows with my dear friend and mandolinist extraordinaire, Joe K. Walsh. We'll also make our way towards the Southeast for a few dates at the beginning of November. The tour is celebrating the release of Joe's brand new album, Borderland.
